Hermle Astrolabium and Tellurium Clocks

Loading...Please Wait...

Orreries are among the most magical of timepieces, linking time and planets and space in motion. At 1-800-4CLOCKS, we have been searching for one or more Orrery models that we can offer to the general public. Hermle Clocks makes and offers (through us among others as Authorized Dealers for Hermle Clock) both multiple models of Astrolabiums and Telluriums (some spell it Telleriums or Telluriems), which are incredible, which are amazing automata and show the changing relative positions of the Sun and Moon and Earth, while also keeping time (and some models chime as well with elaborate nested bells and a hammers).

The Orrery takes it a step farther by including all of the planets in our Solar System. We have sold vintage and antique Orreries, and we are on the lookout for a new model which we feel our Customers might both want and would be of great value.

In the meantime, we are sharing information on the Orrery model designed and built by Ken Condal. He made his plans for building an Orrery like the one he made available to the general public via Popular Mechanics magazine, along with a referenced video posted on YouTube to explain everything in deeper depth. While an amazing contribution, it is not something that most individuals would have the skill to make real. We hope to bring high-quality Orreries to the general public for sale in the not distant future.
