1850s Antique French L. Japy Fils Mantel Clock
Description:
This is a terrific little French time and strike mantle clock. It is in excellent running condition, keeping perfect time and chiming away the hours and half hours on a very dainty sounding bell.
The clock is signed by L. Japy Flis the renowned French clock maker. It is very early as you can tell from the signature and the silk thread suspension.
The number on the pendulum matches the number on the clock.
The case is a small black marble case in very good shape except for the top right corner repair. As you can see in the picture it was a good job but it is a slightly differant shade than the rest of the case. The porcelain dial and glass cover, both front and back are in excellent condition.
The case is 9.5 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide with a 3.5 inch dial.
A key is included.
