This is a very rare year running or anniversary clock made in France by Grivolas.

The clock is in near perfect condition and runs for one year on a single wind. Most of this style of clock were made in Germany and generally not of this high quality, with some exceptions.

In 1908 January 3rd Claude Grivolas of St. Cloud France, was issued Swiss Patent No. 43059 for a “long running” Torsion pendulum clock.

This one is beautifully cased in a variegated beige and pinkish French marble with gilded feet and ornamentation. It also has beveled glass sides and front and back doors.

The porcelain dial is near perfect with its rose garlands between the numbers.
