It is highly unusual to come across such a LARGE elegant antique, SOLID CAST BRONZE CLOCK, chiming on a bell, Large Size and Museum Quality -- especially one with such a great design and amazing detail, and in mint condition.  

The clock is a keywound 8 Day time and strike movement, and has its original porcelain dial, which is in perfect condition [mark seen is from dirt on glass in bezel (which will be cleaned), not on porcelain dial itself].  It also has its original gold or brass gilded hands. 

The beveled glass over the clock dial appears to be original as well, with all in excellent condition.This stunning clock's movement is marked by the very highly regarded French maker A D Mougin (considered at least on a par with and perhaps better than Japy Freres).

Along with the A D Mougin Name on the movement, it has the well known star, and is marked "Duex Medailles". The clock measures approximately 20 inches in height, and 11 inches in width, from its widest points.
